The Basketball IntelliGym is a training tool that enables basketball players to dramatically improve their game-intelligence skills. The trainer directly stimulates the brain functions that are responsible for basketball's cognitive skills. By doing so, the IntelliGym trainer enables quick development of proficiencies that, until now, were considered impossible to teach. The program was designed under the scientific supervision of renowned Professor Daniel Gopher and his team: click here to read the SharpBrains interview with Professor Gopher.
The Personal Edition is designed for 4 to 6 months of brain training. The program starts with a baseline assessment in order to adjust the program to your strengths and weaknesses. The training program contains 19 training sessions of brain training in game-related skills such as decision-making, court vision, anticipation, shot selection, team play, and execution. For best results, the players are advised to start practicing 1-3 training sessions a week of approximately 30 minutes per session. After the first 10 sessions, the time between sessions grows to 1-2 weeks. The level of the training gradually increases. In most cases, by the time the player has completed his 8-10 training sessions, the results are clearly seen on the court.
The Gold Edition is intended for committed players who are involved with year-round competition, and in addition to the full Personal Edition content, includes training under extreme time constraints emphasizing shot-clock time management. Another key element included in the GOLD edition is the IntelliGym Maintenance Training Phase. This part of the training program will help you cope with the influence of routine and fatigue and will allow you to remain alert and sharp throughout the season. The Maintenance Sessions are designed to be practiced once every 2-3 weeks following the completion of the Initial Training Phase.
