About the 2012 SharpBrains Summit

The annual SharpBrains Virtual Summit, now in its third edition, is a highly curated conference designed to …

  1. explore the latest science and market developments that can transform brain health,
  2. discuss applications of neuroscience in consumer, health, workplace and educational settings,
  3. meet with colleagues who face similar priorities and challenges, and
  4. interact with a cross-sector group of sharp brains who are changing the way things are done.

What: The 2012 SharpBrains Summit, to be conducted virtually, will highlight emerging neuroplasticity research, data-driven tools and innovative best practices to optimize health and performance across the lifespan.

Who should attend: researchers, innovators, decision-makers and practitioners in technology, consumer/ behavioral/ occupational/ mental health, gaming, life/ health insurance, human resources, digital healthcare, senior services, cognitive and affective neuroscience. This is by design a cross-sector, forward-looking conference. You can consult this Sample of Participants in 2010/ 2011 SharpBrains Summits (opens PDF).

What does the Summit Agenda look like: The 2012 SharpBrains Virtual Summit includes three separate and complementary sections.

What is a “virtual conference”? The SharpBrains Virtual Summit is just like a physical conference — we will gather in a forum to hear dozens of speakers present and discuss latest information, to connect with each other, to explore opportunities and partnerships, to discover new tools presented by sponsors and exhibitors. However, rather than having hundreds of people spend significant time and money travelling to a conference, the SharpBrains Summit travels to you. Thanks to a participant-only website, you will access each presentation either by joining the live webcast or by accessing a recording after the presentation. You will be able to discuss and connect with speakers and participants, before, during, and after, the conference. You only need to have a computer with an Internet connection and audio.

CEUs:  We will provide, at no additional charge, a CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE equivalent to 24 hours of Continuing Education Units to those interested. Please note that we have not pursued external accreditation.
