Exercising Our Brains: Classes in San Francisco
By: Alvaro Fernandez
For anyone in the San Francisco Bay Area, we are offering a couple of lectures through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, titled: Exercising Our Brains: New Brain Research and Implications for our Lives.
Description: Neuroscientists have finally shown that, at any age, our mental activity can influence the generation of new neurons and their connections, with clear guidelines to follow. You have probably heard “Use it or lose it”. Latest research indicates, “Use it and improve it!”. In this lecture-class, we will combine both research and fun group activities.
1) Monday, November 6, 6:30-8:00pm
SFSU Downtown Center, 425 Market at Fremont
2) Thursday, November 16, 6:30-8:00pm
St. James Episcopal Church
4620 California Street (between 8th and 9th Avenue)
